The New and Used Vehicle Sales
Consultants are directly responsible for selling new and used vehicles while
meeting customer satisfaction standards.
First year earning potential $30,000 -
$55,000. Paid training.
Requirements
- Conducts self in a manner which is consistent with
guaranteeing satisfaction to customers.
- Dresses accordingly, based upon company dress/grooming
standards.
- Determines each customers vehicle needs by asking
questions and listening.
- Demonstrates new and used vehicles(includes test
drives).
- Delivers new and used vehicles to customers. This
process ensures that the customer understands the vehicles operating features,
warranty, and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
- Attends sales meetings.
- Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages
repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction while
maintaining a score above reginal average.
- Maintains an ongoing system of developing referrals and
new prospects outside of the dealership.
- Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories,
etc, and their benifits to customers.
- Establishes personal income goals that are consistent
with dealership standards of productivity, and devices a strategy to meet those
goals.
- Reports to the New or Used Vehicle Sales Manager
regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
- Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day,
week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more
effectively.
- understands the terminology of the automobile business
and keeps abreat of technological changes in the product.
- Knows and understands equity and values, and has the
ability to explain depreciation to the customer.
- Knows and understands the federal, state and local
laws, which govern retail auto sales.
- Enter complete customer information into computer (
name, phone, address).
- Introduces customers to Service Department personnel to
emphasize the quality and efficiency of the dealership's service operations.
- Assists in fueling and organizing parking of the
display lot.
- Responsible for assisting pick up/exchange of dealer
trades pertaining to their sale.
- Requires valid drivers license.
